# Disable the Edit Dialog

As some elements do not need an element edit dialog, they can disable it by setting the `dialog` definition option to `false`.
This will remove the "Edit" option from the context menu as well as disable opening the dialog by double clicking the element.

    id: 'element',
    label: 'Element',
    icon: '...',
    dialog: false,
    properties: [],
  }
```
